Holy cow, we’re beyond excited and privileged to get some fantastic national touring bands in next Tuesday, June 26th!
Headling the show will be Making Friends (feat. Garrett Burgett, who used to play guitar in the Swellers) who is one of our favorite bands in Flint and consists of long-time Flint music veterans. If you never seen them before, you have to get down to this show on Tuesday.
Then, we are extremely privileged to welcome folk-punk juggernauts The Wild, from Atlanta, GA (Asian Man Records, Quote Unquote Records). They are probably one of the best bands in the national scene making music right now, having played shows as big as the Fest in Gainesville and Plan-it-X fest, and they’re coming to play our stage in Flint. How cool is that?
They’re also bringing The Taxpayers from Portland, OR (Asian Man Records, Plan-it-X Records) on tour with them.
Opening the show will be two other local favorites As A Lark, and PleThorA.
You can’t miss this!
More info here.

Make sure to come out tomorrow night, it’s only $6 and you’ll be supporting some great bands to help keep them doing what their doing. We don’t normally promote shows on Tuesdays, so if you come out to help us cover our expenses for the night, it means more money for the bands. Support local DIY music!

Thanks to everyone who came out this weekend. We’re so excited to see so much enthusiasm among so many new faces. We’re making the positive steps to make the Local a better place each and every night, improving it just a little bit more and more. We’re getting back into the swing of this again, and we’re gaining momentum.

Thanks to everyone who played, donated their time to help make this happen, helped with the show, or paid $5.00 to get inside. We wouldn’t get anywhere without you. You make this possible.

We have a fantastic schedule shaping up for early summer. We’re going to highlight local talent, bring in some fantastic bands from around Michigan and the nation, we’ll be a stop at every ArtWalk in Downtown Flint, and we have extensive programming planned for No Child Left Online program.

Stay tuned, more to come soon.
